My Year Of Wildness: What I Want It To Be + How To Get Clear On Yours

darefreePrint from the Wild Sister Vision Pack – exclusive to Wild Sisterhood members + only available this week!

“All good things are wild and free.”

~ Henry David Thoreau

Just like all the women in the Wild Sisterhood, I’m making 2014 my Year of Wildness.

You might be reading that and thinking, “I’m not really feeling ‘wildness’ this year, I’m more into gentleness… or passion… or peacefulness…”

What if I told you that all those things and more fit under the Wildness umbrella?

Wildness doesn’t have to mean wearing flowers in your hair, stripping your clothes off and dancing under the full moon {but more power to you if you want THAT kind of wildness this year!}

Wildness could be making more time to sit by a fireplace with a cup of chamomile tea and reading your favourite book.

It could be selling all your belongings and traveling the country or the world {like one of our Wild Sisterhood members is doing this year!}

It could be setting an intention to find your tribe, your soul sisters, your kindred spirits.

It could be finally sitting down and writing that book you’ve always wanted to write.

It could be carving out an hour a day to paint more, meditate more, cuddle your pet more or laugh with your family more.

It could be having no plans at all and just going with the flow and seeing where life takes you.

YOUR Year of Wildness can be anything you want it to be.

If you need some help getting clear on what your Year of Wildness might be, ask yourself these three questions:

What makes me come alive?

What do I want to do more of?

What does Wildness mean to me?

For some inspiration, I’ve spent the last few days making my own Year of Wildness board on Pinterest. This is my vision board for what I want my YOW to be. Click here to check it out.

But, no matter what your Year of Wildness might be, one thing is guaranteed:

You have a global tribe of soul sisters standing alongside you, cheering you on and supporting you every step of the way.

I’ve witnessed truly touching moments in our Wild Sisterhood.

We’ve celebrated when blogs are launched, goals are achieved, travels are booked and any other time a sister shared something special to her.

We’ve supported each other during hard times, given advice, offered our help and sent love far and wide to our sisters in need.

One moment I’ll never forget was when our community awaited news from a sister living in the Philippines when Typhoon Haiyan struck. The love, care and support that was shared over those few days made our sisterhood that much stronger, and it was proof that our community truly is one of a kind.

Wild Sisters have each other’s backs, rain or shine.

Even though we’re all different, living all over the world, we have that connection now. We’re all a beloved part of the same wild tribe.

Wherever we go, we know we have a worldwide sisterhood supporting us.

It’s a freakin’ amazing feeling.

But don’t just take my word for it. Here’s some lovin’ from a couple of our members:

And the ever-awesome Shai also wrote this about our sisterhood on her blog recently:

“When I started 2013, I knew I wanted the year to be different. I was sick of having falling outs with and worried about the opinions of people who barely knew me. I was sick of feeling like I was in over my head but not actually accomplishing anything. I was really, really sick of seeking the approval of people who, in reality, don’t actually give much of a flip about me.

So I picked up a workbook (which I will talk more about tomorrow, and have mentioned a couple dozen times in the past year), and then joined the Wild Sisterhood.

This almost-year of being a part of the Wild Sisterhood has changed the core of who I am as a being – in very, very positive ways.

While the workbook(s) helped me figure out what I wanted to do, and how I was going to do it, it was the Wild Sisterhood that became my support network. I found lifelong friends, from all parts of the world.

We found comfort, support, encouragement, and sometimes that kick-in-the-ass each of us needed.

We were given SO many tools, and an awesome eCourse on creating your own eMag/eCourse… not to mention the actual Wild Sister Magazine itself.

If I could only stick with ONE of my networks, this would be the one. This isn’t just a network… this is my sisterhood.

{You’ll find more stories from women who love Wild Sister here.}

And right now, there’s an influx of new Wild Sisters connecting and sharing their excitement for being in the Sisterhood. The whole community is just BUZZING with love!

So, wild one, have a think about what your Year of Wildness could be. And then come + join us.
